Even parents get homesick sometimes.
No matter how old you are, being away from your home town and family is never easy.
Sharlee Ritz shared a sweet story about a quilt she received that moved her to tears. "My mother in law has her own quilting business and our house has always been filled with her beautiful quilts, but my very favorite is one she just recently sent us that is actually a large wall hanging quilt. It is made up of Oregon lighthouses. I cried when I opened it. [My husband] Casey and I both grew up in Oregon, and have been to many of those lighthouses. We've lived away from home for the past 25 years, so it was a quilt that had a very special meaning for us. Priceless!!"
A quilt that reminds someone of home is a great representation of the love shared with those still there. What better way to offer comfort from those missing their family, friends, and life-long memories than a quilt showcasing that location. We have many quilts that can represent great memories and home.
